About GAN
GAN academy delivers practical and intensive courses, both online and offline, specifically designed for driven hair dressers who want to progress and move their careers forward in their respective fields.
The name GAN originates from three Chinese words 感(gǎn), 敢(gǎn), and 干(gàn), which are respectively translated as “sense,” “courage,” and “doing.”
In the contemporary hair industry, hair designers must be multifaceted, excelling in both fast-paced salon environments and creative, editorial work. GAN emphasises the importance of simplifying hairdressing techniques and effectively using them on clients while maintaining high-quality hair design. By providing detailed visualisations of key technical methodologies, GAN helps hair designers understand the expected results of each technique on real clients’ hair.
The core value of GAN—Simplify, Visualise, and Utilise—forms the foundation of all hair design varieties. These techniques can be bespoked, combined, and applied to achieve diverse and genderless hair designs suitable for various hair textures and styles.

Creative Director Daniel Jianing
Daniel is an award winning Australian Hair Stylist whose work has been featured in national and international magazines, runways as well as TV shows. As a Kevin Murphy Platinum Key Educator, Daniel's talent and passion are evident in all the seminars and classes he runs across London, Singapore and Tokyo.
Master Stylist Yuta Hoshi
Yuta has been with USFIN team over 5 years now, a true versatile hair designer that is capable to design all type of hair styles. Yuta has been appointed as our Store Manager and he is in charge of USFIN’s technical training alongside Daniel. He comes from Tokyo and has previously lived in New York and Toronto. Yuta loves travelling and exploring different cultures around the world.
Top Stylist Koji Shintome
Koji is our top stylist at USFIN Atelier, Koji has a 6 years hairdressing experience. Koji is from Kyoto, Japan and has been trained under USFIN and is very familiar with USFIN signature style. Through the time he has worked with us, Koji loves creating exciting & fashion forward hair and is developing his own eclectic hair design!
